Do you provide a fixing service?Yes. Our helpful fitters have many years of experience and can
answer in clear plain English any queries you may have while
progressing your job to a satisfactory completion.
How far ahead of time do I need to book fixing?We will generally require 5 working days to produce your order.
The earlier we receive notice of your work, the easier it will
be to progress it swiftly and for us to book the required installation
date.
Can you fix my basin to my vanity top?Yes, please let us know if you require the basin to be mounted
to the underside of your top. Our technique for fixing the basin
to your top is more secure way than that of most plumbers.
How do you schedule delivery / fixing?Please let us know if you require a time specific delivery,
as we try to accommodate any requirement. We will give an a.m.
or p.m. slot on the day chosen. Your job will be carefully loaded
the morning or afternoon of fixing and our vans are not driven
at speed due to the delicate nature of your work. We therefore
ask for you to allow us sufficient travel time to get your goods
to site safely on the appointed day.
How long does installation take?Installation times vary due to the size and type of works, how
easy access is, etc. We always aim to finish the work in one
day. Small installations can take 2-3 hours while large items,
for instance a full set of kitchen worktops with splashbacks
can take over half a day.
Should I let you know if the work I require is to be above or below the ground floor?Most definitely! Our vans are large vehicles and we need to
get as close as possible to your door. If we can't, we may have
to make arrangement to send extra labour for the delivery.
Do you make a separate fixing trip to install high-level splashbacks?As high splashbacks sit-on the worktops, it is not always possible
to install them at the same time as your worktops. This is because
we can only take a final precise dimension once the worktops
are installed. We aim to return two working days later with
your high-level splashbacks.
Why are joints necessary?Joints are necessary as granite slabs are only quarried to a
maximum size of 3000mm long and limestone/marble are only quarried
to a maximum of 2800mm. The joints are butted and filled with
a matching coloured epoxy resin to disguise their appearance
during fixing.
Can you plumb my hob and sink?No. You will require your own plumber/electrician to connect
your services.
