Edge Profiles for Stone Worktops

We offer a complete bespoke service when it comes to your kitchen worktops, let us know your requirements and we will let you know what can be achieved in marble, granite and quartz worktops.

Below is a list of the most popular edge profiles used in kitchen worktops:

Double Pencil Edge

Slightly rounded edges on the top and bottom of your worktop edge to be polished.

This is our most popular edge profile for kitchen worktops.

Full Bullnose Edge

Fully rounded stone worktop edge profile often used for bathroom vanities but also traditional looking kitchen worktops for example.

This edge can make the stone look thinner.

Half Bullnose Edge

Similar to the Full Bullnose edge but rounded top only with a slight radius to provide a soft appearing to the stone worktop.

Ogee Edge

This is a s-shaped curve edge worktop profile often used in conjunction with more traditional designs in both bathroom vanities and kitchen worktops.

Sharknose Edge

This is a s-shaped curve edge worktop profile often used in conjunction with more traditional designs in both bathroom vanities and kitchen worktops.

Mitred Apron Edge

For this edge, we add a downstand piece with a mitred edge to the worktop, providing a thicker look.

You can specify the height of the mitre, most popular is 40mm for kitchen worktops. Additionally, islands worktops and end panels can have a mitred edge providing a smooth, continuous looking surface which is sometimes called a waterfall feature.

Mitred Apron Edge with Return

Similar to a Mitred Apron Edge, it is commonly used in Island worktops or kitchen worktops with a metal strip feature (typically with an LED strip), but can be applied to other applications.

The additional return on the Mitred Edge completes the stone worktop underneath by connecting it to the units.
